Warehousing

All activities from inbound, service and outbound stages are customized to achieve the best results that suits the company profile. This result in a high quality service level and short lead-times. Regular stages are:

Receiving

Operations that involve the assignment of trucks to docks, the scheduling and execution of unloading activities. All inbound will be checked, labeled and digitally registered so this will be real-time available for internal and external applications. This stages is a bit more time consuming but will accelerate the following stages

Put-away

In the put-away stage the goods will be transfered from the receiving area into the stock area. All registered articles have a scanable code and this will be scanned in every logistic mutation/step. This increases the stock data quality to every single SKU that prevents non-sales by out-of-stock situations.

Storing

In the storing stage are available on the shelf of mostly a racking. The process is standardized by bulk to pick location. In between a wave can be used to make the picking as efficient as possible.

Order picking

For an efficient picking a wave process can be used between the bulk and pick location. Slow and fast movers will be distinguished by Boss Warehousing.

Shipping

In the shipping stage orders will be prepared for shipment. This will reduce the loading time and decreases the risk of mistakes. In a more complex situation a consolidation stage is implemented to reorder the all pick orders into a specific shipment (e.g. pallet, container or truck) to reduce the shipping costs intensively.

Cross-Docking

Cross-docking is a more special activity that passes the receiving and shipping stage without the use of other stages. Goods will be received and loaded within a few hours.

Bonded & non-bonded goods

Eliminate delays by the use of the AEO status for store, load and unload cargo’s. Your goods can be custom cleared upon EU-entry or kept in transit (for further notice, export another bonded store or export to non-EU destination).
